According to Google’s Bard Generative AI Chatbot, “a protocol is a set of rules for how to communicate or interact. It is a common language that allows people or machines to understand each other. Protocols are important because they ensure that communication is clear, efficient, and reliable”. Protocol is vital to effective communicating and understanding between among individuals. If you and I want to communicate, we need to agree on the protocol. Going a step further, if we want to communicate with God in a way that we are understood, we must utilize the correct protocol. What is the proper protocol for communicating with God you ask? I would suggest that while prayer is one of the mechanisms, faith is the underlying protocol. Let’s talk a little more about the faith protocol.
To properly understand this faith protocol I invite you to read Hebrews Chapter 11 in it’s entirety. However, I will call out a couple verses for emphasis. Verse 1 says that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Faith allows us to see what God is showing us that He has FOR us in the invisible spirit realm and bring that forth into the visible realm as evidence. Faith is the confidence, the assurance that what God is showing us will come to pass. The second verse that I want to highlight is verse six which states “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him”. If we were to paraphrase verse 6 and understand verse 1, we can clearly see that this is protocol, the faith protocol.
The faith protocol allows me to communicate with God having the confidence that God hears me. I know that God hears me because I believe that God IS and that He rewards me for seeking Him diligently. The faith protocol allows me to see what you cannot see because God is showing it to me in the spirit and through His Holy Spirit. The faith protocol gives me confidence to trust God. The faith protocol requires that I am consistent in how I communicate tih God and finally, the faith protocol results in the confirmation of what God has shown me in the spirit.
If you are not hearing God clearly, check your faith protocol. If you are not secure and confident in what God has said, check your faith protocol. If you are wavering and doubting, check your faith protocol. I encourage you to visit our website at www.elevatingfaith.org to watch the sermon entitled The Faith Protocol to hear the message articulated hear preached. Whatever you are believing God for today, activate your faith protocol because according to your faith, it will be unto you. Until next time, be blessed.

What happens if there is mixed protocols in communication? Can you communicate with someone if they are on a rotary phone and you are on a satellite phone? This is just more food for thought
